Description
The Wye Valley has so much to offer, especially during the colder months, gorgeous views of the forests changing colours in autumn & as we head into winter, shelter from the wind. Although tamer than full on mountain rides there is plenty of techy trails to find if you know where to look.
There is a fantastic network of trails on both sides of the valley to suit all abilities, but generally we will start by climbing into the forest on the Welsh side of the river & head up to Beacon Hill above Trellech. From here dependent on the conditions there are plenty of descents to pick from, but as a rule we head down towards Brockweir to cross the river. Once over on the English side we head up onto the high ground & pick up ancient byways that will takes us back to the start.
We will be starting at Redbrook just south of Monmouth on the A466, the carpark is pay & display which costs £4 for the day.
